Bulging Tree Trunk
A cypress growing near the sea. They get so twisted from the sea breeze. This one had a peculiar and unbelievable looking bulge at its base. The form was sculptural.

Gnarled Tree Trunk
A gnarly tree trunk. I didn’t get to the other parts of the tree because the texture was so complex and beautiful.

Tree
A tree possibly an oak in my neighborhood in Pacifica , CA. I was interested in the texture of the bark and the interrelationship of the branches.

Reuben 2005
This is a typical profile of Reuben. I usually get a chance to draw him while he is using the computer. What I like about this drawing is the simple lines.

I drew this picture of Eliana while she was watching a video at Pixelcorps in 2004. Her brother was working on digital video editing at the time. I hadn’t done this type of drawing in years but it came back pretty quickly.

Rick Dunn 2000
My dad has sat for drawings and paintings many times over the years. He is a great sport and the most patient sitter. I’m pretty sure this was done in San Francisco around 2000.

Miriam 1996
A longer drawing of Miriam from 1996. I’m remembering how often she posed for me when we had free time.
